How to find a game’s Steam AppID
An AppID is a numeric identifier for an application on Steam. It identifies a game or program, not your account. You can find it in the application’s store page URL.
Find the number in the store URL
- Open the game’s Steam store page in a browser.
- Look for the numeric identifier immediately after /app/ in the URL.
- Copy the number between /app/ and the next slash.

In this URL, Counter-Strike 2 has AppID 730. The name after the number may change; the identifier comes before it.
How is AppID different from SteamID?
AppID identifies an application, while SteamID identifies a Steam account. Use the Steam ID tool to find an account. A game’s AppID cannot identify a user.
